From RULES AND REGULATIONS, Title 55--PUBLIC WELFARE [55 PA. CODE CHS. 4225 AND 4226] Early Intervention Services
§ 4226.29(a)(9) Within 120 days of the date of hire, fire safety, emergency evacuation, first aid techniques and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

Infant/child CPR and First Aid Training Fire Safety and Emergency Procedures
  • American CPR Training - offers infant/child CRP and First Aid training in English, Spanish, American Sign Language and others. Trainers travel to your site for groups, offering day, evening and weekend sessions. Online submission form to request price quote.

  • American Heart Association - search by zip code to find a class near you.

  • American Red Cross-Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter for infant and child CPR and First Aid - initial training and review courses. The Red Cross offers both classroom-based as well as blended learning options that include online prerequisites, followed by a shortened classroom-based session for skills practice and assessment. To register online, call 215-299-4000.
  • FEMA/US Fire Administration: order a copy of free fire safety video, "Prevent the Unthinkable," for parents and others who care for babies and toddlers.

  • FEMA/US Fire Administration: "A Fire Safety Campaign for Babies and Toddlers," free brochures and fact sheets (multiple languages) and other materials, including a link to view or download the 9-minute fire safety video, "Prevent the Unthinkable."
