iTunes U – part of Apple’s iTunes system – is a free service, offered to educational institutions by Apple, Inc. iTunes U allows educational institutions to create sites for public or authenticated access. The Jefferson School of Population Health is currently using iTunes U to distribute its popular Health Policy Forum lectures.
The Health Policy Forum is a monthly program (September-June) designed to impart cutting-edge information on population health, public health, healthcare quality and safety and chronic care management. Presented by regional thought leaders, the series serves as a venue to discuss and explore the broad health policy issues affecting health care today. The Health Policy Forum is appropriate for students, faculty and staff, health care professionals, administrators, public policy analysts, and community health leaders.
JSPH will eventually use iTunes U to allow access to select course materials, lectures, seminars, and other valuable information related to the school. All of the content available within Jefferson School of Population Health on iTunes U will require the iTunes software to view and download materials. iTunes is free for Apple and Microsoft operating systems.
This service is available to all Jefferson programs and costs departments nothing to participate. For questions and support, please contact Tony Frisby, PhD, Director of AISR Education Services, at 215-503-4990 or Tony.Frisby@jefferson.edu.
