Q: What symptoms of hypoglycemia should you warn about?

A: The signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia (Table 2)5 vary from person to person. Problems with hypoglycemia are rare in patients with Type 2 diabetes, but can occur in certain patients or in times of illness or overexertion. Patients are capable of self-treating mild-to-moderate reactions, but may require assistance in treating themselves in cases of moderate hypoglycemia in the presence of impaired judgment or weakness. Severe hypoglycemia requires assistance from another individual.
