FAQ Search Results

Scott Memorial Library subscribes to several groups of databases, several individual databases, and provides access to some free databases on the Internet. All databases are listed by title on the Databases A-Z page. Core clinical databases and new resources are featured on the JEFFLINE's homepage Quick Links.

Some highlights among our group subscriptions include:

• the OvidSP group of databases (MEDLINE, ERIC, International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, Health and Psychosocial Instruments/HaPI, PsycInfo, and full text of over 60 journals).
• Cochrane Library for Evidence-Based Medicine
• Lexi-Comp, which combines several different pharmaceutical and clinical resources into a single searchable interface. Topics include interactions between drugs, evaluations of drugs, toxicity of common substances, herbal preparations, calculation of dosage, etc.
• the MD Consult service (full text of over 50 journals and 3 dozen textbooks, MEDLINE, patient education materials and Mosby's GenRx drug information).
• a version of PubMed which links to the full text of library e-journal subscriptions.
