I'm trying to create a bibliography in RefWorks, and keep getting error messages. What's wrong?

It could be that your file is too large. RefWorks has trouble with Word documents that are larger than 25Mb, particularly if they include images or charts. You should make a copy of your document, remove the images and figures, and then format the paper. Once the formatting is correct, copy and paste the images and figures back into the final version.

Sometimes the problem can simply be Internet connectivity, as RefWorks will time out after 20 minutes while formatting a paper.

A common error is the accidental deletion of one of the double curly brackets {{ }} that surround each cited reference. Check to be sure that each citation has those brackets.
