I'd like to donate some books to the library. Whom should I contact?
We are able to selectively accept donated books, if appropriate for our collection. Do not bring books to the Library before contacting Diana Ryan, the Director of Collection Management, and providing her with a list of the materials (including author, title and date of publication) which you would like to donate. She can be reached by e-mail at Diana.Ryan@jefferson.edu, or by phone (215-503-2829) or fax (215-503-4793).
Also, the University Archivist urges faculty and alumni from all colleges and programs to consider donating any personal materials that help to tell Jefferson's story. Your list of manuscripts, notebooks, artifacts, ephemera, or books published prior to 1950 should be directed to the Archivist, F. Michael Angelo, who can be reached by e-mail at Michael.Angelo@jefferson.edu, or by phone (215-503-8097) or fax (215-923-3203).
Unfortunately, we cannot appraise donated material.
We thank you for thinking of Scott Memorial Library at Thomas Jefferson University.
