Helena Washington
Helena Washington is a technician in the Information Services department.
She provides reference services at the Information Desk and via
the Ask A Librarian email service.
Interests & Expertise
Helena is a member of the JEFFLINE Security team. Contact her for
support with:
- resolution of Campus Key and other JEFFLINE access issues,
- off-campus access to JEFFLINE resources, and
- use of bibliographic citation management software.
If you use the Ask a Librarian service to send questions or comments
to the Reference Department, Helena may be the person who will
answer.
Background & Training
Before coming to Jefferson in 1989, Helena worked at St. Joseph’s
University, where she received a bachelor's degree in Sociology.
Helena also holds an associates degree from Thomas Jefferson University.
Helena is a member of the Sigma Gamma Rho sorority.
Personal Interests
Helena’s personal time is currently devoted towards the
raising of her first child, Michael Aaron. Michael was born on
August 17, 2003.
When Michael has finally conked out for the night Helena turns
on WZZJ, and relaxes with a good book.
