Paul Schiffmacher, BS

Paul Schiffmacher is a Medical Illustrator for Medical Media Services. He is responsible for designing medical and scientific illustrations and graphics for Jefferson faculty and physicians.

Background and Training

Paul's background is in illustration with a major in medical illustration. He has illustrated numerous articles for journals and medical atlases for many physicians in the Philadelphia area. As part of his training, he completed courses in gross anatomy and participated in surgical observation at the University of Rochester Medical School. He holds an Associates degree in illustration and a Bachelor of Science in medical illustration, both from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Publications and presentations

Paul's most recent work can be found in "Cardiac Surgery for the Adult", 2003 and "Kempe's Operative Neurosurgery, 2nd edition", 2003.
