AISR Staff Directory

Margaret Grasberger, MS

Margy Grasberger is the Manager of the Information Services Department of Scott Memorial Library and serves as a liaison to 4 small groups in the Medical College’s first-year Medical Practice for the 21st Century course. She also participates in a research project with the Center for Research in Medical Education and Health Care funded by the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation.

Interests & Expertise

In addition to general reference support, she

  • consults on personal bibliographic management programs (EndNote and Reference Manager),
  • conducts workshops on grant funding, and
  • conducts workshops on resources beyond MEDLINE.

Background & Training

Before joining Scott Memorial Library in December 1998, Margy worked as a reference librarian at Hahnemann Library in what is now Drexel University College of Medicine. Earlier, as a Clinical Librarian in the college's MCP Division Department of Medicine, she received the Residents’ Appreciation Award.

Before becoming a librarian, Margy worked in several departments at TJU, notably Family Medicine and Pathology, Anatomy and Cell Biology. She obtained a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Villanova University and her MS in Information Science from Drexel University.

Professional Activities

Margy is active in the Special Libraries Association (SLA) and is also a member of the Medical Library Association (MLA).
