Wireless Service in the Library
Jeff-IT has placed wireless hardware (access points) in the Barringer, Orlowitz, and Martin residence halls, the first two floors in Jefferson Alumni Hall, and all four floors of Scott Memorial Library. Wireless accounts are required for access, but are free to Jeffersonians. Wireless accounts are managed by Jeff-IT, at their Customer Support Center, 3rd Floor, Edison Building. Currently, this wireless service offers access to the Internet and other open applications such as JeffShare, JeffCal and JeffMail. Instant messaging (AIM, ICQ, MSN Instant Messenger), Telnet, SSH and FTP are also supported. Applications on the secure University network are not accessible; the wireless network is part of the separate Academic & Research Network (ARN). How Can I Use It? Two Easy StepsStep One - Buy the right network card:
Step Two - Configure your PC
