Videoteleconferencing

AISR can enhance the learning experience of remote students with webcasting and videoteleconferencing technologies.

For fully interactive and "real time" connection with distant students, AISR provides videoteleconferencing over the Internet (VTC/IP) service. In addition to sharing a presentation between two sites, this service allows for two-way, fully interactive audio and video communication between the sites. It’s perfect for classes where students need to be able to view materials, communicate questions and comments, and make presentations to their peers.

This technology has been used for graduate-level nursing classes between Jefferson and Geisinger, in addition to special presentations and meetings for other Jefferson departments.

Videoteleconferencing is an excellent option when an instructor is in one location and a group of students is located elsewhere. Perhaps your class takes place in a traditional classroom, but needs to include a group at another site. For situations like these, consult with Medical Media Services about videoteleconferencing solutions. Our trained media support staff will help coordinate the arrangements with the remote site so you can focus on teaching.

Please contact Medical Media Services at 215-503-7841 or admin.mms@jefferson.edu for more information.
