Botanical Mythology
I use the term botanical mythology loosely. Plants often play a key role in humanity’s myths — from Adam’s apple to Jack’s beanstalk. Perhaps plants have their own mythology, transmitted as quietly as pollen. Paintings, like plants, can have a healing effect. In both cases the process is inexplicable, beyond the reach of discursive thought.
