Artifacts from the Archives and Special Collections

Materials housed within the University Archives and Special Collections Department are divided into six different sections:

The majority of items within the Archives, including all of the books, are searchable via the Internet in ThomCat, the Library's online catalog. Items in the University Archives will list as their location "Archives," "Spec-Coll" or "Jeff-Coll."

While these materials are available for use by the public, they may not be removed from the Department. In addition, some records may be subject to restrictions due to donor requests or their fragility.

Some of materials have been digitized, and are freely available online in the Jefferson Digital Commons.
