The Security Desk
(First Floor. 24 hours/7 days a week.)
All users of the Scott Memorial Library must present an
ID to the security staff upon entering the building. The first
and fourth floors are open to Jeffersonians 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Other floors observe regular hours.
The library and security staff strictly enforce that no
food be brought into the library. Beverages are permitted
in the library if they are in sealable containers, such as soda bottles, juice bottles, Nalgene® bottles, sealable coffee mugs, etc. No cardboard, aluminum cans or Styrofoam containers are allowed. Read
more about the beverage policy. Food and all types of beverage containers are welcome in the Library Café.
Members of the general public may enter the Library Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. You may purchase a $7 visitor's pass for a day; the pass includes use of the library
computers for Internet access and productivity software (Word,
Excel).
Visitors are limited to 4 visits per month. Membership
plans are available for individuals or companies that
require more frequent access.
