  A forum created by nurses for nurses, giving employment information, topical links, chat, and career advice.
• Letters of Florence Nightingale (Univ. of Kansas)
  This historical exhibit by the Clendening History of Medicine Library at the University of Kansas Medical Center features reproductions, transcriptions and annotations for 30 items of Nightingale's correspondence.
• National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR)
  As one of the National Institutes of Health, NINR provides current communications, legislative awareness, scientific news, and funding opportunities for nursing research. Search also for grants awarded by NIH on nursing topics within the NIH section of the Community of Science Funding Opportunities database.
• Nightingale (UT Knoxville)
  The University of Tennessee Knoxville sponsors this large list of individual links and services in the field. Includes position announcements, calls for conference papers, and links to many nursing school sites.
• NursingCenter.com (NursingCenter)
  Publisher Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins provide access to full text or abstracts from several key nursing journals, continuing education opportunities, a career center, online forums, and internet links in a full service portal.
• NursingWorld (ANA)
  The American Nurses Association site provides a full range of professional support and member services, as well as news, legislative issues, ethics and topical links.
• WebRN (WebMD)
  A segment of WebMD, WebRN is a commercial portal offering a variety of information and service options.

  View the nursing titles alone, or search the full list of all e-journals for access to Scott Library's subscriptions in nursing and other fields. You may search ThomCat, the online catalog, for e-journals.
• Nurseweek/Healthweek (NurseWeek)
  An electronic journal featuring articles, surveys, news, and employment opportunities.
• Nursing Discussion Forums (University of Buffalo)
  A list of current listservs available in the field of nursing, along with instructions for subscription. Includes one of the core discussion lists, Nurse Net.
• Nursing Ethics Network (NEN)
  The NEN is a regional organization of professional nurses committed to support of nursing ethics research, supported by the Boston College School of Nursing. This site provides a brief description of the organization and a form to get on their mailing list.
• Virtual Nurse (virtualnurse.com)
  Virtual Nurse is a free commercial site dedicated to fostering communication between practitioners. Its various communities offer chat, support forums, alternative healthcare, employment information.
