  • Career OneStop
    This is a publicly funded resource for job seekers and businesses. An employment center, a relocation center, a financial aid center, a skills center are included in addition to many other employment-related resources. The employment center has a resume posting service and the searchable jobs database America's JobBank.

  • CareerSite
    A national database covering many professions, but with limited entries in healthcare fields.

  • Chronicle of Higher Education: Career Network
    This is the most comprehensive listing of available academic positions in the U.S.

  • Craigslist Philadelphia
    Popular, no-frills (but for-profit) community classifieds. Job listings include sections for many fields including health care, science and biotech. Local sites span 25 countries and over 120 cities; there is a New Jersey site.

  • Delawareworks.com
    This state-sponsored site provides access to information regarding unemployment and other legal resources regarding employment issues. Also provided is an online database to jobs available in the state.

  • Health Force
    Health Force specializes in travel nursing and allied health care staffing.

  • Health Recruitment.com
    Nursing and allied health jobs and hospital support services positions.

  • Healthcare Recruiting Associates
    This is a commercial healthcare recruitment agency that provides a nationwide listing of hospital employment opportunities. The listings are for primarily the western and southern United States. Resumes can be submitted or posted online and the service is free to job seekers. Information regarding perspective employers is not provided.

  • HealthJobs.com
    A searchable national database of job listings in the health professions. Users may limit searches by state.

  • International Salary Calculator
    A handy little tool used to compare your current salary in one metropolitan area with the equivalent salary needed to maintain your standard of living in another metropolitan area. There are also helpful links from this page to commercial relocation services.

  • Job Hunt Meta-List
    A national database of jobs and resources for job-seekers in all fields, including significant sections for healthcare and the sciences.

    Another national database, including a large "Health-Medical" category and browing by state or city.

  • MedHunters.com
    This a North American job board for all types of the health professions. Registration is required for this free service. Resumes can be submitted or posted online. Descriptions of perspective employers are also provided.

    A healthcare job and medical practice resource site managed by healthcare professionals and free for jobseekers.

  • Modern Healthcare.com
    The healthcare business news weekly includes a sponsored staffing/careers section. Required free registration.

  • NationJob.com (P.J. Scout)
    This is a resource for job seekers to search for jobs and information about perspective employers. The P.J. Scout job alerting service is also available, with free registration. Resumes can also be posted on this service. A page for Medical and Health Care Jobs is also available.

  • Naturejobs.com (Nature Publishing Group)
    Search for science jobs by job title (professor, post doc, etc.), geography, organization or discipline.

  • New England Journal of Medicine Career Center
    This is a searchable employment database for physicians and program directors. Individual job profiles can also be created and posted on this database.

  • Nursing and Allied Healthweek (NurseWeek.com)
    Specializes in positions in California, Texas and Michigan.

  • Nursing Spectrum Career Fitness - career services provide very good local coverage for Philadelphia jobs and the other geographic areas the media company focuses on. The Web site features an instant application feature for some positions. This is not a recruitment company. This service/company is designed by nurses for nurses.

  • Pennsylvania CareerLink
    A state sponsored resource for job seekers and employers. Job listings are available for all areas of employment within the state of Pennsylvania. Listings of county CareerLink offices and contact information are also available.

  • Pharmacy Times
    The "Career Corner" and "Classifieds" sections include job listings, career advice, pharmacies for sale, etc.

  • The Riley Guide: Employment Opportunities and Job Resources on the Internet (RileyGuide)
    The first nationally recognized document for internet job searching, the Riley Guide includes salary surveys, executive job search information, and information about researching careers on the Internet. The author, Margaret F. Dikel, also includes topical links such as reports on "employer email monitoring."

  • ScienceCareers.org (AAAS)
    Job opportunities; career advice including cover letters and interviews;
