Akbar's Folios
The titles of my paintings reflect what I happen to be exploring at the time. Akbar, a sixteenth-century Indian Mughal ruler, unified the country and was an ardent patron of the arts. "Mille Fleur" is the name of a pattern used in textiles and other media popular during Akbar’s rule.
