Biographical Note
Albert Whitely (1816-1893), aka "Whitely," was an 1839 graduate of Jefferson Medical College. He matriculated at age 19 after having studied for twenty-two months under Dr. William Whitely in Whiteleysburg, Maryland. His graduate thesis was titled, "Intermittent Fever." He practiced in Kent County, Delaware and was president of the Delaware State Medical Society for 1865.

Scope and Contents
This collection consists of student materials such as lecture notes, lecture tickets, and annual announcements. All of this material was culled from the Scheffey Papers, Manuscript 45.
