Teaching Support Services
All basic classroom support services for regularly-scheduled, curriculum-based classes for the University’s Colleges and Schools are provided by the Medical Media Services division of Academic and Instructional Support and Resources (AISR). The associated costs are supported through the Colleges’ and Schools’ annual budgets and additional charges will not assessed to the courses or departments requesting the services. Requests for specialized services, such as an AV technician, video conferencing and webcasting and video or audio recording are not covered by these arrangements and will be charged back to the individual or department requesting these services.
This will assure a consistently high level classroom experience for all Jefferson faculty and students regardless of the College or School in which they may be enrolled. This approach will also free the faculty and course coordinators from concern over support request fees and will eliminate the need for any faculty members to bring departmental equipment to their classes. In order to help control our overall costs it is important that the faculty plan their support services needs carefully and request only the equipment and services they need for each class session.
