Scott Learning Resources Center

The LRC in Scott Memorial Library is one of several centers in AISR's Learning Resources Department that provide the Jefferson community with computer services and equipment, audiovisual materials and equipment, and clinical education models and services.

Need help creating an Excel spreadsheet? Want to scan an image, sync your PDA or burn a presentation to a CD? The Scott LRC has the equipment and staff to help you on the spot. Staff can also provide extended assistance for 15 minutes to an hour at a time by appointment.

Room 307 is a computer classroom available for hands-on instruction or individual study for up to 30 students. Faculty, students and staff may request Room 307 for use in classes, workshops or conferences. Individuals may use the lab computers any time there are no classes scheduled.

Computers are also available for individual or group use in room 306 (the Service Desk area) and in the three group study rooms. These study rooms and PCs can be reserved for up to two hours a day during regular LRC hours. Reservations are not required, but are recommended when the LRC is busy.

Individual workstations in 306 are set up for flatbed scanning, slide scanning, and Palm software installation. Please review the software lists for each computer before reserving a computer.

Come enjoy the Florence Foerderer Tonner collection of recreational music CDs, audiobooks, and popular videos, available at the Scott LRC. The music CDs span a wide variety of interests, including classical, jazz and popular artists. The audiobooks and videos cover autobiography, fiction, foreign language, aerobics, and self-defense.
