3rd Annual Jefferson Liver Disease Symposium
The 3rd Annual Jefferson Liver Disease Symposium will address and discuss both the common, as well as critical, liver diseases presenting in the office of the gastrointestinal specialist, primary care practitioner, internist, and mid-level provider. Educational sessions during the conference will be organized into the following categories, to provide broad coverage of topics of interest: viral hepatitis and fatty liver disease; genetic liver disorders and liver failure and general hepatology practice. Special emphasis will be placed on an update in HCV treatment with an emphasis on real world outcomes in 2017. The topics in each of these sections have major relevance to nurses, physician extenders, primary care physicians, and gastroenterologists in 2017. Continuing education credits will be offered for physicians (AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM) and Continuing Nursing Education contact hours. Fundamental Critical Care Support
Fundamental Critical Care Support is a two-day standardized course prepares non-intensivists, nurses, house staff, and other critical care practitioners to evaluate, stabilize and manage critically ill and injured patients until a transfer or expert consultation can be organized. The Role of Sex & Gender in Clinical Practice program takes a unique approach to patient care by zeroing in on sex differences in non-reproductive areas such as: gastroenterology, cardiology, psychiatry, pulmonology, and nephrology.
