Randomized Control Trials is a type of research study in which subjects are randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group. For example, 20 patients are randomly assigned to group A or B. Group A consists of 10 subjects, each of which receives ibuprofen. Group B consists of 10 subjects, each of which receives a sugar pill. The subjects do not know if they are getting ibuprofen or the sugar pill and the study reports the effectiveness of each treatment.
