MEDLINE is:
- the premier database for clinical medicine and biomedical research.
- the most frequently searched database in the world for any topic.
- a database with many faces--actually, interfaces. One recent applied medical informatics study compared searching MEDLINE via 27 different interfaces.
- unevaluated/basically uninterpreted/unfiltered access to information about articles in 3,800 peer-reviewed journals biomedical literature.
- produced by the US National Library of Medicine.
