TJU Distance Learning
Jefferson offers a number of online courses in nearly every department and for Continuing Medical Education
. The Jefferson School of Nursing
and the Jefferson School of Health Professions, Occupational Therapy
offer entire advanced-degree programs online. To see if your field of interest is available, select the College or School from the University's homepage
and then choose the appropriate department.
- Online programs at Jefferson typically use the University's Blackboard course management system called Pulse. Access to online courses will typically begin the first day of class regardless of how far in advance you may register.
- Jefferson uses the Adobe Connect application for classes that have synchronous sessions (lecture and/or online office hours.) Adobe Connect support documentation.
- Distance learning students have all of the same library access, borrowing privileges and support as on-campus students. This includes full-text access to most of the Library's journals and many textbooks. Students also receive 10 free document requests for articles in resources the library doesn't have available online. Library reference librarians are available by email and instant messaging.
- Faculty development and support for distance-learning technologies is available from AISR's Education Services division.
