Using Limits: Main Search Screen Limits

Ovid displays the combined set as number 3 below.

Now we are ready to further refine the search strategy by using Limits. Some of the most frequently used limits (indicated below) appear on the main search screen. These may be selected at any time as you build your search strategy.

Since we are only interested in articles written in English, click on the box next to "English Language". We also want to select the "Human" limit to eliminate any animal studies on the topics we've searched. By default, Ovid will apply these limits to the last set in your search history, so there is no need to enter anything further.

Click on "Perform Search" to proceed.
