Write-N-Cite Installation & Configuration for JeffersoniansWrite-N-Cite is a utility that links your RefWorks database to MS Word and other document-creation software. With Write-N-Cite, you can cite references in a manuscript with the click of a button.CompatibilityWrite-N-Cite is available for Windows 98 or higher, MS Word 2000 or higher and Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. Write-N-Cite for Macintosh requires Mac OS X version 10.3 or later and MS Word for Mac 98 or higher. Popup blockers and personal firewall can interfere with the operation of Write-N-Cite. If you experience problems, try disabling those utilities. InstallationWrite-N-Cite needs to be installed on your computer before you can use it:
Configuration of Write-N-Cite for Off-Site UseBecause Jefferson offers RefWorks off-campus by proxy server, you must
enter some information in the WNC Proxy Configuration Utility.

If you launch the program from the desktop icon or the Start menu, it automatically opens a copy of MS Word for you. Group CodeNote that Ovid's direct export to RefWorks requires entry of a GROUP CODE by off-campus users. The code is sent to your Jefferson email account when you first register for a RefWorks account. Use of the code is restricted to Jefferson faculty, students and staff.
