JEFFLINE Milestones Tour
JEFFLINE 2004
In three years' time since the radical change, AISR's
departments grew and changed. Even AISR's name changed, from
Academic Information Services & Research to Academic & Instructional
Support & Resources. Learning resources, simulation, integrated
curriculum support, enhanced media services all needed more presence
and better navigation in the interface.
User surveys, focus groups, and JEFFLINE use statistics
revealed a number of strengths and weaknesses of the 2001 navigation
system.

New features of the 2004 interface included:
- A color scheme that was much easier on the viewers' eyes.
- Unified navigation for all AISR services and resources.
- Cascading menus and upfront quick links for faster and easier access
to core resources.
- Direct searching of the library catalog (ThomCat) from the homepage
and from the navigation bar.
- My JEFFLINE sections (formerly called JEFFLINE Communities)
for user groups who have unique materials.
- Expanded content & easier access to Learning Resources and
Medical Media Services pages.
- A table of contents for the current issue of a monthly news magazine, the JEFFLINE Forum, located
on the JEFFLINE homepage, so users could keep up to date with new
resources and services.
This interface was released in July of 2004, and served until 2008.
