Calling All Jefferson Authors

Don't be shy. Let us hear from you!

Scott Library's Special Collections includes the Jeffersoniana Collection, composed of books authored or edited by Jefferson faculty and staff during their tenure at the University. The collection documents the publishing history of the University's faculty.

Of course, it's a challenge to maintain the collection; there is no list which announces all new Jefferson publications. Although we are alerted to many such titles by our book distributor, some titles inevitably are missed. You can help by letting us know if you or a colleague have already, or soon will have, a book released.

Even better, consider donating a copy of your book to the Library. It will help our budget, and provide you with a tax deduction.

In addition to the copy for the permanent Jeffersoniana collection, the Library purchases duplicate copies of health sciences books for the regular circulating collection. But we are interested in ALL books (not just the health science topics) which reflect the diverse talents and interests of the faculty and staff. In order to be considered a Jefferson work, the book should be authored by or edited by Jefferson faculty or staff; Jeffersonians should comprise at least one half of the contributors; or at least half of the chapters should be written by Jeffersonians.

Please take this opportunity to help preserve the history of our institution. The Jeffersoniana collection is a permanent tribute to the University's scholars.
