WorldCat: Discover the World at Scott Library

WorldCat, the world's largest bibliographic database, is now available to Jefferson users via a link on JEFFLINE. Search the catalogs of OCLC (Online Computer Library Center) member libraries--more than 53,548 libraries in 96 countries and territories around the world The database includes millions of records for items--including books, journals, theses and dissertations, musical scores, computer files, CDs, and DVDs--with over one billion "holdings" (references to "who owns what").

To get to the link for WorldCat use the pull-down menu on the JEFFLINE homepage to navigate to Catalogs of Other Libraries:

WorldCat can also be found on the JEFFLINE List of All Databases at: http://jeffline.jefferson.edu/SML/databases/index.cgi

Try WorldCat to expand your research, discover foreign-language materials, or to locate items not owned by Scott Library. We may be able to borrow copies of some items through Interlibrary Loan. Contact ILL for details (below).

For help using WorldCat contact the Scott Library Reference Desk at 215-503-8150, or email Askalibrarian@jefferson.edu.

Check it out and let us know what you think. Be sure to log off when you finish searching, since our WorldCat license only allows one user at a time.
