USMLEasy from Access Medicine:
A Free Self-Assessment Tool for Jefferson Students

Prepare for the USMLETM Step 1 and Step 2 exams with help from McGraw-Hill's online testing service, USMLEasy.

To get started, choose AccessMedicine under Core Resources on the JEFFLINE homepage, then select the link for the Lange Self-Assessment Tool and create a free personal account. Once your account is created, you may also access USMLEasy via the My AccessMedicine tab on the AccessMedicine homepage.

Jefferson students have free access to 1,500 of USMLEasy.com's questions for Step 1 and 1,500 questions for Step 2 in USMLEasy Lite, a flexible interface allowing you to customize your self-assessment with the following features:

  • Practice Mode option allows you to view the correct answer after each question.
  • Test Mode option does not show the answers.
  • Board-Simulated Testing Interface option is formatted and timed like the actual USMLE.
  • Exam Criteria option lets you select questions by discipline, organ system, or subspecialty.
  • Notes option can be used to post comments on specific questions as you take practice exams.

In addition, USMLEasy includes tools to track and analyze your performance.

After taking an exam, you'll get feedback assessing your strengths and weakness along with a “Customized Reading List” to help improve your future performance.
