Request a Reference Consultation

When you need more than a quick answer, request one-on-one help from our Reference staff. Consultation appointments are available to Jefferson faculty, staff, students, and Scott Library members. Learn about:

  • Using Scott Library and JEFFLINE resources
  • Structuring a research strategy, choosing databases and search terms
  • Identifying funding sources for research projects
  • Using Reference Manager or EndNote bibliographic management software
  • Defining and meeting your individual information needs

Most consultations require an hour or less, and are available at no cost.

In-depth research services are available for a fee, negotiated on a case-by-case basis.

Examples of research projects include:

  • Verification of citation lists
  • Development of Web resources
  • Citation analysis

A consultation request form is available on JEFFLINE.

For group training, please contact the Education Services Department.
