Lippincott's Nursing Drug Guide Update
The 2002 edition of the Nursing Drug Guide has been released and is available via Books@OVID from the OVID menu of databases. The Nursing Guide will help students to apply pharmacologic data to nursing practice.

The new edition includes:

  • More than 54 new drugs
  • 6 new alternative therapies
  • An "Expanded Alternative and Complementary Therapies" section
  • New "Advice for Travelers" appendix with guidelines for prophylactic therapy
  • New list of "drugs that have been withdrawn or discontinued since the last edition"
  • Updated 400 drug color insert section of commonly used drugs to facilitate recognition of drugs being used
  • An updated "quick insulin guide"
  • Over 2,000 additions, changes, updates on indications, dosage and administration.
