With the holiday season quickly approaching, I've decided to devote my entry to the Forum this month to spotlighting some of the best web resources for the Christmas season. If you're anything like me, last-minute tips and shopping ideas are greatly appreciated.
Let's first go to Christmas.com.
Here you'll find a worldview of the holiday season which shows how the holiday is treated on other parts of the globe, and a Countdown to Christmas from anywhere in the world which will go as far as counting down the seconds we have left until December 25th. You'll also find a selection of recipes that sound good (but probably aren't) and a gift guide for those of us who go to great lengths to avoid shopping malls this time of year.

A good place to start for electronic greeting cards, is at Yahoo's Christmas Greetings.
The selections on the left are just a small sample of the type of holiday greeting cards that Yahoo has to offer. You can even create your own custom cards with pictures that you have chosen to give it that personal touch. You can also send invitations to a holiday party and help take a burden off the United States Postal Service shoulders, not to mention save yourself some green.

While we're on the subject of saving some cash, I'd like to introduce you to another Christmas site that uses one of my favorite words. FREE! Christmasfreebies.com is a relatively new site that offers quite a bit of free merchandise available for the holiday season. Plus if the falling snowflakes don't get you in the mood for Christmas, I'm not sure what it's gonna take!

And for those of you who wish to brush up on your caroling, An Online Christmas Songbook is a site I found for you. It includes sheet music and lyrics to over 100 songs.
I'd like to close this article by wishing everyone a happy and healthy holiday season. I'll be seeing you in the real Y2K, 2001!
