Laura McNamara

Laura McNamara is the Electronic Resources Librarian for Scott Memorial Library. Laura manages the subscription, fulfillment and presentation of over 2,000 print and electronic journals received by the Library. She is primarily responsible for the serial content of JEFFLINE's electronic journals list and the Library's online catalog. Laura and her staff also oversee interlibrary loan, document delivery, and serials preservation and processing.

Background & Training

Laura received her BS from the Rochester Institute of Technology and her MSLS from Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to Jefferson in 2011, Laura held positions at Holy Family University and the Population Studies Center at University of Pennsylvania.

Professional Activities

Laura is a member of the Library and Information Technology Association (LITA) and the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL).

Personal Interests

After a long day, Laura can usually be found playing in her kitchen. They may not always be the best concoctions, but she enjoys it!
